Irene Culliton was leading an accounts payable team for a large global company, when she was inspired by to make a change in her life. It was refreshing.

Not many aestheticians focus on the inside. With this in mind Irene registered for the Millennia Institute in Brampton where she learned the core skills for being the beauty expert she is. Taking note of how the body works on the inside as well the surface. Now after 13 years of practicing and 10 years with her Beauty Salon Skin ‘n’ Tonic, Irene continues ongoing training to remain at the forefront of treatments, ingredients and technology, as well as beauty trends for application and services. Irene says that the best part of her job is “spending time with my clients because everyone has a story! I love helping to improve peoples’ skin because I can actually see the confidence they gain with each treatment”. Customer service, consistency, product and treatment knowledge are her top priorities. “Experience is everything, people come to me because I am a professional”. This is apparent when watching one of the Bridal Parties, they set up the coffee bar area with food and drinks then hang out for a few hours while chatting, learning about beauty products and rituals while being pampered. Irene says that “On some occasions the ladies break out the bubbles!”
When asking one of Irene’s clients why they go to her, they responded that “Irene is fun to spend a few hours with and she is skilled at what she does, she also has an incredibly nurturing nature. I’m fussy with colour and only wear black toe nail polish; on my third visit Irene had me out of black and onto something that resembled a rich mercury that reflected different colours in various lights. That is how much I trust Irene!”
Irene is passionate about helping people, so her next step is to work towards her Oncology Aesthetics Certification.
