Personally I’ve never bought into to the whole system of needing time off approved, I get the reasoning for scheduling purposes but if I’m booking time off it’s for set plans I’ve made in advance giving enough notice for it not to be a problem, but if I book days off I am letting you know I won’t be there 🤷🏼‍♀️ as a business owner I also think allowing employees to take time off for themselves fosters a better work environment by allowing them to rest, reset and fill their own cups they come back to work more engaged and productive, less likely to take time off due to stress and more likely to stay working for you long term.
It’s a win-win situation, as much as we love our jobs and are so fortunate to do what we love having a proper work life balance is so important 💕
