Back with another …is it worth it? Let me work it, put my thing down, flip it and reverse it!

Treatment Mask 🫧
Knowing the difference between protein and moisture is KEY.

Protein helps strengthen and rebuild weak, compromised strands, especially from colour and heat damage.

Moisture is what your dry, dull, thirsty hair is begging for when it’s lacking softness, shine and flexibility.

Detangling Brush 🪮
Tell me you haven’t lived through your mother scraping the skin off your scalp with some rough, rock-hard brush while trying to detangle your mop?!

A good detangling brush with flexible, gentle bristles is designed to move through the hair more easily, reducing unnecessary pulling, snagging and breakage.

Your scalp has been through enough!

Shower Filter 🚿
Removing minerals, chlorine and other deposits from your shower water can make a BIG difference in how your hair and skin feel.

Less buildup can mean softer-feeling hair, more manageable strands, and a cleaner canvas for your products.

And yes… your colour can benefit too.

Hairspray or Texture Spray 💨
A good brushable hairspray is an absolute staple in my books.

Hairspray isn’t just for crunchy 1980s helmet hair anymore. 😂 A good formula can give you hold, texture, volume and longevity while still allowing movement.

Sometimes getting your best hair isn’t about buying MORE products.
It’s about buying the RIGHT ones!

This transformation has been sitting in my camera roll and I’ve been dying to share it! 🖤

This beautiful lady came in wanting the fuller, longer hair she’s always dreamed of… so we made it happen.

First, we did a full foil and tip-out to brighten her overall look, create more dimension and texture, and blend some of those new silvers coming through. She wanted to feel blonde, not grey and I was absolutely here for it!

Then came the fun part…
A fringe and shaggy layers to give her that effortless, slightly undone boho babe vibe.

And finally, we added one pack of seamless tape-ins for the extra length and fullness to pull the whole look together.

The goal wasn’t to make it look like she had extensions, it was to make it look like she just naturally woke up with the hair she’s always wanted!

And the best part? She’s already been back for her move-up and her hair is looking FABULOUS.

I’m so damn proud of how dedicated she’s been to taking care of it. Extensions are an investment, and the maintenance at home makes ALL the difference in keeping your natural hair and extensions looking and feeling their best.

Yes, I want the best for you… and for what actually matters. 🖤

Not every hair product or tool is just marketing. Some things genuinely make your life easier, your hair healthier, and your style last longer.

1. A good blow dryer really does make a difference.
The magic is in the balance of heat and airflow. Too much heat with poor airflow = dry, crispy hair. Too little heat with weak airflow = longer dry times and less control. A quality dryer gives you smoother, shinier hair while being kinder to it.

2. Round brushes aren’t all created equal.
Ceramic barrels help retain heat for styling, boar bristles create incredible shine and smoothness, nylon bristles add grip, and the shape of the brush can completely change your volume and bend. The right brush can honestly level up your blowout.

3. Heat protectant isn’t optional.
If you use heat, this should be as non-negotiable as shampoo and conditioner. It helps protect your hair from damage, keeps it healthier over time, and can even improve the way your style looks and lasts.

4. The hot brush has officially become my obsession.
If you’re after that effortless, bouncy blowout look, this has been my go-to lately. It creates a softer, airier curl with more movement than a traditional curling iron.

5. My number one shower essential? A cleansing shampoo.
Especially where we live. It removes hard water minerals, chlorine, product buildup, and all the things that leave your hair feeling heavy and dull. If you’re double cleansing your face… why aren’t you doing the same for your hair? 😉

Stayed tuned for another episode and what I think is worth it!

✨Happy National Hair Gloss Day! ✨

Where would I be without Shades EQ?

Probably committing crimes against blondes by mixing pure pigments into conditioner and hoping for the best 🫠

Now? I just reach for the bottle that’s been carrying my career for years!

🧪Acidic
🚫Ammonia-free
✨Insane shine
🔢 Over 80 Shades

Hair that actually feels better after the service? Yeah that’s I’m looking for!

Sometimes I think, “Yeah… I’m still young.” Then I spend time with someone who’s actually young and I’m like…

NOPE. 😂

At what age does your brain stay 27 but your knees, lower back, and the random noises you make standing up start telling a completely different story?

I’d say I’m in this weird middle ground as a hairstylist. I’m old school enough to know the fundamentals and “old tricks” but new school enough to still crank out a banger of a colour and cut. I don’t always understand the lingo, but I can definitely understand the assignment😅

Getting older is a privilege, and honestly… I’m enjoying (most of) it. The confidence is better, the boundaries are stronger, and thankfully the hair keeps getting better🫶🏻

Hey just checking in fam…

1. More products doesn’t always equal more benefits! Stick with key products, Shampoo, Conditioner, Heat protection, Masks, a leave in.

2. If you don’t show your clients how to do their hair, someone else will on Tik Tok, Insta or other socials. Do you think that it will translate to what you gave them and their hair?

3. You have to evaluate percentage of grey before you decide what directing of blending you go! Your percentage will determine how much of light and dark you’ll need, that being said different areas of the head may need different percentages.

4. Guys, I’ve had so many people’s lives change with the simple convo of how do you wash your hair? Your long hair, extension peeps especially, will thank you!

5. Cut that s**t off. Cut him, her, them, the ends, just get rid of it and feel free! 😂 Products can help DELAY the inevitable not fully repair but eventually it’s gotta go…

You want a sure fire way to kidnap me?
Drink/Coffee, Patio, 25+ weather, Appys😏

Listen, sometimes the best ways to get out of your comfort zone of your typical formulations and designs is to collab with someone! My DMs are always open! Nothing better than a little shop talk, food and drinks to get the creative juices flowing 👌🏻

Or somebody just call me and get me outta the house… plz 😩
