Imagine the apes shot into space during the 1960’s survived the journey and bred with aliens. Generations later this is what they might look like…intelligent otherworldly beings. Do they come in peace to the planet earth that sent their ancestors to certain death?

My final prosthetic makeup and Photoshoot as a CMU student. I could not be prouder of the end results of months of delays, weeks of hard work and days of triumph but also defeat.

This journey wouldn’t not be the same without the guidance of my instructors.

Meet Sir, Burr & Us - the lapdog from hell. A mix of alligator, bulldog and hell hound this tiny terror’s bark(s) is definitely worse than his bite(s)

Creature design was my first opportunity to fall in love with sculpting again. There are so many things I’d wish I could have done to detail and refine but that’s why there’s next time right? (+ I’m already dreaming up my next creatures)

From sculpt to moulding, casting and paint, so cool to watch this creature come alive and drooling from rough sketch to maquette and beyond. So rewarding when that mould finally opens and he’s looking back at you with three eyes.
