Fun fact about - he didn’t have these black spots on his tongue when he was born. However, more than 30 pure breeds including goldens are known to have spotted tongues. These dark spots are just areas of hyper-pigmentation. Basically freckles or beauty marks of the canine world. They develop when more pigment is deposited on one area of the tongue.
