Today, we remember the Indigenous children who never came home, and we honour Survivors and their families. As residential school denialism grows, we must keep speaking the truth, challenge hateful claims when we hear them, and listen to those who lived this history. Reconciliation asks us to carry that responsibility every day. 🧡

To my RedDeer Tallow community,

I wanted to check in and let you know why things have been so quiet lately.

The past little while has been one of the hardest seasons of my life. I lost my best friend and heart sister to cancer, and at the same time I’ve been navigating my own health. As an middle aged autistic person, I’ve been experiencing challenges that have required me to slow down, listen to my body, and really try to understand what it’s been asking of me.

There has been a lot happening behind the scenes, and I’ve needed to make space for healing, rest, and grief.

Please know that I haven’t forgotten about RedDeer Tallow. If anything, this time has reminded me why I started creating these products in the first place. Caring for our bodies, honouring the land, and returning to simple, nourishing ingredients feels more important than ever.

I’ve been dreaming up some new products that I can’t wait to share with you, and I’m hopeful you’ll see them in the coming months. I think you’re going to love what’s in the works.

For now, I’m giving myself permission to heal, to grieve, and to return when I can do so in a way that feels good and sustainable.

This community has carried me through more than you could ever imagine, and I’m deeply grateful that you’ve chosen to support something I love creating.
