Mahdis Mary kay

On January 27, 2024, I visited PRIMOCAR, located at 349 Rue Main, Gatineau, J8P 5K5, with two friends to purchase a car. I expressed interest in a 2021 Kia Forte EX, which was priced at $11,500 before tax. The dealer assured us that the Carfax report was clear.
During the inspection, I noticed some dents on the body of the vehicle. The dealer explained that these dents were caused by hail. Based on this information, I agreed to provide a $1,000 deposit via e-transfer.
After leaving to gather the remainder of the funds, we returned almost two hours later and requested the Carfax report to proceed with the purchase. To my surprise, I discovered that there were two claims against the vehicle: one for hail damage and another for a front-end accident. This information contradicted what the dealer had previously told me, as he claimed there were no accidents.

Feeling misled, I decided not to purchase the car and requested the return of my $1,000 deposit. However, the dealer has refused to refund my deposit.

I am very disappointed with this experience and believe I deserve a full refund due to the lack of transparency and honesty during the transaction.
