🥥🪴Late night hot process soap making. We make both hot and cold process soap at Palma Soapworks. Hot process is rapidly heating the batch so it goes through the saponification process all within an hour. Downside of hot process is you can't make the deep colors and fancy tops on them, as you add colors and additives after it saponifies. Whereas cold process soap, it takes 24-72 hrs to saponify , and all additives are added to the mixture before saponification which makes it easier to work with and add piping, bold colors ect. The one commonality, is that they both end up to be soap in the end.🪴🥥

This one you see here is scented with lavender essential oil. Additives include kaolin clay which has a calming effect on skin breakouts. Colloidal oatmeal which helps sensitive skin. Coconut milk which has hydrating properties and helps keep skin soft and smooth. Vitamin C powder which is a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin against cellular damage. last but not least Vitamin E oil, which has moisturizing properties and helps dry cracked skin.

We are excited to announce we are doing a fundraiser to raise money for our daughters cheerleading world championships in Orlando Florida at the end of April. Now here's a little bit about our daughter. She's 13 years old and she's on a level 6 coed all star cheer team at black widow cheer gym here in ottawa canada. She made this elite level team at the age of 12 and has big dreams. She was recently diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and she proves that anything is possible when you have a dream even if you are atypical. Shes inspires me every day.
