Last Saturday I turned 30‼️ Omg I still can’t believe it. I definitely wasn’t expecting to celebrate my champagne birthday in quarantine but that’s okay. I still had an amazing day. Thanks again for all the birthday wishes 🥰⠀

Turning 30 is so special to me for many reasons. I remember 5 years ago, I had a list of things I wanted to accomplish by this age. Almost giving myself a deadline. Some goals were definitely unrealistic lol, others I’ve been able to checked off on my list 😁🙏🏾 ⠀

I feel like I’m entering a whole new chapter in my life. Although I’m excited/nervous, I’m extremely happy about the woman I’m becoming. Thank you all again for making my day special. Stay tuned for some exciting news 😉

Tip Of The Day ✨✨✨ How to get a Flawless Foundation Application: For Acne Prone Skin ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I have a client with a lot of acne or hyperpigmentation I ALWAYS use both a sponge + foundation brush for foundation application. This combo will allow for the most amount of coverage without looking cakey. The brush places the products on the skin and the sponge melts it in 😍
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I don’t always use both a sponge and brush together for every client. It really depends on my clients skin type and what look we want 👩🏾‍🎨❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🤣🤣 for real! Proper lighting is soooo important for makeup application. Also keep in mind not all lights are good lights. Have you ever tried doing makeup in yellowish lighting? (Incandescent light) 😬😬😬😬 you might as well be doing your makeup in the dark. Natural lighting is 🙌🙏🏾🙏🏾If you don't have access to natural lighting LED lights (day light bulbs) are the way to go!!

This past Saturday KANIA put on an amazing fashion show at Audi Ottawa. I had the pleasure of doing makeup specifically for some of models. For the makeup, we decided to create something different and fun. I wanted the looks to compliment each of the outfits.

To create some of these looks I used a combination of M·A·C Cosmetics eyeshadows and water based face paints from Snazaroo Face Paints.
