Rooted in our grandmothers’ traditions, Mert & Gert is handcrafted tallow skincare made from locally sourced grass fed suet that we render ourselves.
Small batch creams, soaps, and body care created simply and honestly.
A little glimpse into what summer has looked like at Mert & Gert 🤍
It has been busy, messy, exciting and filled with so many moments we will always remember. We have spent our days making products, pouring soap, baking sourdough and cookies, building our little farm stand, creating a night market display from the ground up and packing custom gifts for bridal parties.
We have attended night markets, tried new ideas, learned as we went and spent a whole lot of time laughing together along the way.
What started as two best friends dreaming about creating something rooted in simpler times has slowly grown into something more special than we ever imagined.
Every loaf, bar of soap, jar and gift is made by hand, with care, by the two of us. Thank you for following along, visiting our stand, shopping with us and cheering us on through this very busy summer.

MERT & GERT LONG WEEKEND PRE-ORDER 🌾
The long weekend is almost here, and we’re filling the stand with a few of our homemade favourites!
We won’t be open Saturday, so we’re offering a special Friday porch pickup on July 31st from 4–6pm. Place your order ahead of time and we’ll have everything tucked into a Mert & Gert bag with your name on it, waiting for you inside the stand.

Our farm fresh eggs will be first come, first served. If the girls are good to us this week and we have enough, we’ll pop some cartons into the cooler.
