The best lip tattoo compliment?

“No one can tell they’ve been tattooed!” ✨

This lovely client came in wanting to restore her Cupid’s bow and bring back a soft pop of colour where it had naturally faded at the edges. 🫦

She wanted nothing obvious — just a fresh, natural-looking enhancement that still feels like her.

A subtle lip blush tattoo can look beautifully soft and natural when done thoughtfully.

Brow lamination, shape and tint for this smouldering beauty. A beautiful and natural looking glow up for her.

One of the biggest surprises for clients after powder brows is how dark and “solid” they can look immediately after the appointment.

But if you zoom in closely — especially the last black and white image— you can actually see that the brow is not one solid block of pigment at all. 👀

In the grayscale image, you can clearly see the spacing between the pixels of colour. You can also see how the top of the brow has less saturation and more visible skin showing through.

That softness is intentional.

Powder brows are created by layering tiny pixels of pigment into the skin. More saturation is placed through the lower part and body of the brow to create structure and depth, while the top edge is kept softer so light can bounce off the skin and create a more natural healed result.

Fresh brows appear darker for a few reasons:
• the skin has been temporarily blanched from numbing
• the pigment is actively oxidizing while exposed to oxygen
• and the skin has not yet healed over the tattoo

Once healed, the skin forms a soft filter over the pigment, which is why powder brows lighten and soften during healing.

The goal is not a sharp block of colour.
The goal is a soft gradient that creates dimension and mimics natural density. ✨

This queen is always a joy to have in the chair—fun, wildly talented, and dreamy skin to work on ✨

She’s rocking fresh-off-the-needle Foxy eyeliner paired with her 2-year healed lip blush 👁️💋 Clean liner with soft, lived-in lips…
Whose next? Foxy liner is trending 🔥

It’s really satisfying 🤓to see long-term healed work age exactly as intended.

For this client, we stayed true to the natural tonality already present in her lips. 🍉

You can see here, 2 years later, as the pigment softens it fades in a way that still feels connected to her—nothing abrupt, nothing sitting “on top” of the lip.👄

This is where predictable results come in. When you understand pigment, skin, technique, ✅ and how a client lives in their skin (yes, including things like SPF), you’re not guessing how it will age—you’re planning for it.

When a client sits in my chair, I take that responsibility seriously. My role is to guide you toward a choice that will not only look beautiful now, but age well—and to make sure you’re fully educated on what to expect long-term. 👌🏻🦩💗The outcome should feel considered, intentional, and right for you from the start.

I finally got to meet the winner of my New Year’s Foxy Eyeliner contest!! We had the best time doing this brave woman’s very first tattoo. She said it was absolutely painless 🥳💃

We went for a baby foxy look- kit liner?! lol and it feels just perfect for her. I used 5 shades of rich dark brows to soft caramels to get this depth and gradient.
