🦆 "It's a perfect day... if you're a duck!" 🌧️⚡

While the ducks are loving the puddles, the wet weather and loud thunder can be tough on our furry family members. Here are some helpful tips from Bear Necessities to keep your pets safe, calm, and comfortable today:

🐾 Wipe Those Paws: Clean and dry wet paws after outdoor breaks to prevent fungal irritation.

🏡 Create a Safe Haven: Set up a cozy, windowless space with their favorite blanket to hide from thunder.

🎶 Mask the Noise: Turn on a fan, TV, or white noise machine to help drown out scary rumbles.

🛡️ Apply Gentle Pressure: Use an anxiety vest or a snug t-shirt to give your pet a reassuring "hug."

🧸 Mental Games: Beat indoor boredom with puzzle toys, basic command training, or a game of hide-and-seek.

🚫 Avoid Flash Floods: Keep dogs on a short leash away from fast-moving drainage ditches.

🌿 Use Pet-Safe Scents: Calming scents like lavender, chamomile, or frankincense can soothe anxiety. Always ensure they are properly diluted and diffused safely out of paw's reach.

⚠️ Scents to Avoid: Never use tea tree, eucalyptus, citrus, or peppermint oils, as these are highly toxic to dogs and cats.

Stay warm, stay safe, and let's help our pets brave the storm together! 🐾💙
