The Doll Haus

This month, The Doll Haus turns 3!! 🎂💅🏽🩷

Honestly, watching this transition back feels a little surreal.

Three years ago this month, at just 21 years old, I got the keys to an empty space and saw potential where most people probably would have just seen a project.

But truthfully, this dream started long before that.

Before the commercial space… before the home salon… I was doing lashes and nails out of my university dorm room, just trying to build something for myself with a whole lot of ambition and a vision bigger than what I had at the time. Along the way, I also had the opportunity to grow within an established salon environment, which became another important chapter in shaping my journey.

What started as a dream (and a whole lot of hope 😅) slowly became what The Doll Haus is today—through long days, late nights, growing pains, lessons learned, exciting wins, and so much love poured into every tiny detail.

It then grew into my little home salon, with the clients who took a chance on me during those early days and stuck by my side through every chapter of growth. If you’ve been here since the dorm room or home salon days… you know who you are, and I will never be able to thank you enough for believing in me before any of this looked like what it does now. 🩷

To every single client who has booked with us, referred us, supported us, hyped us up, trusted us, and grown with us—thank you. Truly.

To my family & my friends (old ones and new ones I met along the way), I would not have been able to do this without your constant support and encouragement. You also know who you are.

And to my incredible team—thank you for helping bring this vision to life and for being part of what makes The Doll Haus what it is. No business grows alone, and I’m so grateful for each of you.

I’m incredibly proud. Not just of the space itself, but of the community that’s been built within it.

3 years later, and I still have to pinch myself sometimes.

“Hi, I’m Kylie! I was born here in the valley and grew up in New Brunswick before my family was posted back to Petawawa about 10 years ago. I’m 23 years old and have been in the nail industry for over three years. I’m passionate about everything from nail health to creating unique, intricate designs! When I’m not in the salon, I love cars and spending my free time at car shows or drift events. My favourite service to offer is acrylic nails with detailed nail art, and my go-to colours are pink and purple!”
