I'm starting the New Year with a budget and a plan to become financially literate!

Well, Christmas is here!
The girls enjoyed their Christmas and I'm so glad because I was so worried.
Next year there is going to be some serious changes so that I can begin staying on track.

This was our first Christmas without Grandma/Mom.
30 years of Christmas mornings for me and 5&6 for the girls. While this is my first Christmas without a new set of clothes 😅, I did receive some very good news before Christmas so I guess my Christmas gifts are a tad more adult now 💁🏽‍♀️

In the New Year: I'm working on communicating better, trusting others, making new friends that I want to be just like so that it's easier to reach my goals.
My biggest goal is Financial Freedom. For the next 2 years I'm going to pay off debt and start saving an emergency fund and managing my money well enough that I have enough money for the month 🙃 .
I'm also not expecting anyone to pick sides but if we aren't picking mine, I'm not sharing my life with you. I have spent a good 30 years of my life being part of a family that will certainly teach you the evils in the world. I don't want anything to do with them in the New Year.

REBRAND is the word of the year 🙌🏽

Most Importantly: in the New Year, Marissa's Braiding House will also be going through some changes but I assure you I am still here braiding hair. My goal is and always will be to be the go-to girl for all your hair braiding needs. Whether that's to simply try something you've seen or finally get that style you've been dreaming of. I braid for everyBODY and as long as your little one can sit, I will even braid for them :). My services are quite affordable and I always provide the hair so I just need you to be ready. *I do require a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking. As a single mother with ADHD, It helps me to stay on track in my personal life to be reliable for our appointment ti.e*
