Hey, I’m Amelia…

I’ve been a hairstylist for 16 years, with 5 of those spent at Fusion. This industry has changed so much over the years, but Im still just as passionate about it today as when I started.

My husband and I bought our first home here in Peterborough over 10 years ago and we moved to the west end in 2018! We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary back in June, and our daughter is now 2 years old!

When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll usually find me browsing HomeSense, or counting down the days until long weekends at my parents’ cottage in Haliburton. Boating and waterskiing have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I can’t wait to share that with my daughter.

I’m a certified Redken colourist specializing in grey coverage, grey blending, highlighting, and lived-in colour. One thing that’s always surprised me about my career is my short hair clientele. I’ve never had really short hair myself, but I absolutely love creating textured pixies and classic bobs. I’m always so grateful for all the referrals and look forward to meeting your family and friends.

Where do I see myself in 5 years?
Honestly… right here. I feel so lucky to work somewhere so close to home, in a space that encourages growth and is always evolving 🥰

Thank you to all of my amazing clients for allowing me the time to rest, recharge, and soak up some family memories. A little pause was exactly what I needed.

The best colour isn’t the one that needs the most upkeep, it’s the one that still looks beautiful weeks after you leave the salon.

Soft dimension, lived-in brightness, and a customized colour placement mean you can spend more time enjoying patios, beaches, vacations, and weekends… and less time worrying about your roots

Grey blending isn’t about making everyone as blonde as possible.

For clients with only about 25% grey, adding too many highlights can actually create more maintenance, not less.

The goal is to strategically place the right amount of lightness to soften the line of demarcation and blend those greys, all while keeping your hair healthy.

Everyone’s journey is different, and your colour should be customized for your grey percentage, and your lifestyle.

This appointment was about more than hair. We also said goodbye to a lot of length. Sometimes a fresh haircut marks a new chapter, a fresh start, or simply gives you back a little confidence when you need it most.
