Today I was delivering maple syrup to a condo complex when something unexpected happened.

A lady helped me bring the order to a safe spot, and before she left, she looked at me and said:

“Wow, you’re in great shape. Are you working out or something?”

I smiled and thanked her, but honestly, her comment stayed with me all day.

The truth is, I don’t always see myself that way.

Like many women, I can be my own toughest critic. I notice the things that aren’t perfect. I focus on where I think I should be instead of how far I’ve come.

And while I don’t always recognize it, I have been consistent with my daily healthy habits. I make movement a priority, nourish my body with healthy foods, stay active throughout the day, and do my best to take care of myself. Those small choices may not seem dramatic in the moment, but over time they add up.

But today reminded me of something important:

The way we see ourselves isn’t always reality.

Sometimes we’re so close to our own journey that we miss the progress. We miss the strength. We miss what others can clearly see.

So if you’ve been hard on yourself lately, maybe take a moment to consider that your reflection isn’t the whole story.

You might be doing much better than you think. ❤️

Have you ever received a compliment that completely surprised you because it didn’t match how you saw yourself?

Tell me in the comments. ⬇️

As I mix this on my back deck, I’m thinking about how many women are silently struggling.

Tired all the time.
Bloated after everything they eat.
Brain fog.
Mood swings.
Low motivation.
Poor sleep.

They’ve been told it’s just stress, aging, or menopause.

Maybe.

But what if your body is asking for support instead of surrender?

Today, I have more energy, better focus, less bloating, and I feel more like myself again than I have in years. 💜

And that’s why I never skip this simple daily habit.

If you’ve been feeling “off” lately, you’re not alone. ✨

💪 Upper Body Day 💪

Ladies, if you’re 50+, lifting weights isn’t just about looking strong… it’s about staying strong.

As we age, we naturally lose muscle mass, bone density, and strength. That’s why strength training becomes more important than ever.

✨ Benefits of lifting weights after 50:
✔️ Builds and preserves lean muscle
✔️ Supports bone health and helps reduce osteoporosis risk
✔️ Boosts metabolism
✔️ Improves posture and balance
✔️ Makes everyday tasks easier
✔️ Increases energy and confidence
✔️ Helps us stay independent and active for years to come

I’m not lifting weights to be skinny.
I’m lifting weights so I can continue running ultra marathons, carry groceries with ease, stay strong for my family, and feel amazing in my own skin.

Aging is inevitable.
Getting weaker doesn’t have to be.

Who’s lifting weights with me? 🙋‍♀️💜

At 17K into a 25K run, I stopped.

Not because I had to.

But because I choose to.

A lot of runners will try to run and drink at the same time—quick sips, rushed breathing, no pause.

I don’t enjoy that.

I don’t like swallowing while trying to breathe, and I’ve learned something important over long distances:

👉 Efficiency isn’t always about doing everything at once.
👉 Sometimes it’s about doing one thing well.

So I pause.

I hydrate properly. I breathe. I reset.

And then I go again—lighter, stronger, and way more focused.

It might look like a break…

But it’s actually part of my performance.

Run your way. Fuel your way. Trust your body.

🏃‍♀️🌿 Running isn’t why I’m out here…

Sure, I love the challenge, the fitness, and the miles. But what keeps bringing me back to these country roads and trails is something much deeper.

This is where I slow down enough to notice the beauty around me. The blue skies, the fields, the trees, the birds, the fresh air. Nature truly is a miracle. 💚

This is my time to ground myself.
My time to practice gratitude.
My time to pray.
My time to reflect.
My time to work through challenges and find solutions.

Some of my best ideas, biggest breakthroughs, and most peaceful moments have happened right here, one step at a time.

In a world that constantly tells us to hurry, running through nature reminds me to appreciate the present moment.

Today, I’m grateful for healthy legs, open roads, and another opportunity to move my body and clear my mind. ✨

What are you grateful for today? 💭👇

Everybody who knows me knows I’m a talking machine 😂

When I’m passionate about something and truly believe in it, I can’t help but share it.

Two years later, and I’m not going anywhere. 💛

I’m not here faking it. I’m not here following a trend. I’m here sharing my story, my experience, and the things that have genuinely made a difference in my life.

If you’ve been following me for a while, thank you for being part of the journey. ✨
