Spent the day foraging and swimming with this sweet soul.
Found so many lil patches of SJW and I’m finishing off the day by tincturing all of the flowers we collected.

I think my skin is just as eager for Spring as my heart is! I love a good buff and polish with a sugar or salt scrub.
The Lemon Vanilla Sugar Scrub you see here is my tried and true, for body and also lips (but not face).
I’ve been making it for years and it does what I need it to. I always infuse my body products with a similar blend of some nourishing herbs like calendula (lymph flow), plantain (soothing), lavender (anti fungal), chamomile & white willow bark (anti inflammatory).
But I want to add something new to my line up! I’m working on a salt scrub right now. Does anyone prefer salt over sugar?
What should I scent it with?

The angel of transformation is also the angel of solitude, and she only bestows her blessings on us if we traverse both. I know I have been quiet my dears, so thank you for sticking around and reminding me that there beauty here still, because you do, and there is.

I’m slowly restocking all of my bar soaps!
Making cold process soap feels intrinsic to the art of skincare; I feel like I must make soap if I am going to be a person who makes skincare.
Making soap is all about time. It takes time, to plan, and to make, and then it takes time to cool & to cure, to cut & package.
The best soap was made patiently; the time it was given to blend, and the time it was given to cure and harden into a bar of soap that will, in turn, dissolve and get smaller and last in the shower over a longer period of time.
As i get older, I’m noticing how little time I seem to have and, yet, how important it is to give everything the time that it deserves. Whenever I make soap, I’m always reminded of this.

Her studio offers yoga for all types of people and lifestyles, but specializes in prenatal and pelvic floor yoga.
You can find my hand soap in washrooms, and available in two sizes in her retail section too!

I’ve been working myself to exhaustion lately, and there isn’t much to cure ya other that sleep when you get that depleted, but when sleep is not an option I’ve been making a hot chocolate with the Atonement Powder and Oat milk for a boost of energy, antioxidants, and essential minerals, but also to help regulate blood sugar and support the liver, because when I work a lot I sure don’t eat that well!
I plan to sleep for most of January, but until then, it’s this potent little powder and too much pizza for me.

Languishing.
Most honestly, The last couple of seasons in my life have been difficult to drudge through. The days have felt so indelicate—abrasive and bulky and long-winded— and I have felt so estranged from it all.
I’m never sure how long things will last, or what it will take, or if it’s even up to me, but I do remember now that it will eventually break.
One morning you just wake up and you’re smiling, and you’re making jokes, and you’re on the phone, and you’re asking your lover how they’re doing, and if they’re hungry, because you’re going to make a really big breakfast.

Soaking up and trying to preserve the last little moments of summer.
• A day spent hiking down winding trails through woods and along rivers
• Found a quiet place to stop for lunch in a world that is usually so loud
• Watched my new friend Nora discover her love for climbing trees
• Hung a wilting bouquet up to dry, so that its beauty will not be so brief.

I’ve been working on a new elixir over here in collaboration with a bright lil human bean. Hopefully, it’ll be just what we all need to get through the darker months.
This is a little sneak peak of one of the ingredients.
