Questions for those of you with breast tissue. Serious post ahead...

As some of you may know, I've been involved with The Mastectomy Guide fir a few years now , in an assistant/admin role and as a mentoree/student.

I have incorporated breast/chest treatments into my clinical practice and thoroughly enjoy working with this very underserved demographic in not only a post surgical capacity, from mastectomies, breast reduction, trans top surgery or elective augmentation; but I also offer general breast massage and aiding those who are breast feeding and/or experiencing mastitis or have decreased milk supply in one breast.

I like to implant some thoughts into your mind-
PLEASE NOTE- DM ME INSTEAD OF SHARING ON THIS POST IF YOU PREFER.

Have you ever had breast massage , even from yourself or by another? . If YES, how did you feel afterwards? ( lighter, less pain from wearing underwired bras, decreased tension, glad you did it?)

If NO, why do you think that is? ( never occurred to you that it's a 'thing', didnt know RMTs can do this, that it could be beneficial, feels weird and/or embarrassing, uninformed?).

The Mastectomy Guide and myself would like to normalise this form of treatment and promote the benefits of breast massage. Your breasts will thank you.

I'd like to remind you all to firstly put your appointments and alerts in your phone calendars at time of booking and secondly; check on your Jane app that you have email and text alerts on. Ask the clinic to help if you have difficulty. You'll then have multiple reminder options

Coast Therapy, like many clinics, dentists and specialists, have cancellation policies. They must be enforced sometimes and yes, it sucks to be charged. Its happened to me.
I only do it, if I can't fill the spot btw.

Please note: I am not salaried, neither am I greedy ( as someone recently has implied) .You no show, I don't get paid and I still have to pay the clinic rent.
I'm empathetic to sickness happening, but if you don't open your email or text, or have your own phone reminder, we know on our end ( email anyway) and that's in you.

PSA - BREAST/CHEST SURGERY THERAPY

For the last 18 months, I have directed a part of my practice to aiding those persons who have experienced a Mastectomy with reconstruction or not; breast augmentation, lift, reduction or lumpectomy.

I have taken post graduate courses via The Mastectomy Guide and am also one of the founder's TAs, while she trains other RMTs in how to treat breast patients. This is a very underserved demographic, who are often given very few options of rehab post surgery and our founder Eryn Price wanted to change that.

So if you, or someone you know is experiencing pain, restriction or reduced function because of their chest surgery, I would be honored to assist them in their physical recovery. I can treat weeks, months or years post surgery and every case will be different, as to when and how i treat.

My Fridays from 8-2 are reserved for Breast patients and calling the clinic is required, so to screen out non breast patients. You may however, book on any day, if you can find time.
