Maol Grooming

The final batch of FrankinLime is shipping to this week and will be heading out to customers as soon as they arrive (likely early next week - Talbot’s soap is already there). My sincerest apologies for the delay and I’d like to thank everyone who pre-ordered from the bottom of my heart. Saying goodbye to Maol Grooming is bittersweet and I’m beyond grateful for the support this community has provided me over the past 5 years. 🙏

To everyone who pre-ordered the final batch of FrankinLime, I’d like to sincerely thank you and provide a quick update. I’m currently waiting on a shipment to arrive and it will be a bit longer before I can finish production. Good news is, once the shipment is here, it won’t be long for me to get the order to Top if the Chain. When I have more concrete details I’ll touch base again.

The LAST batch of FrankinLime will be available for pre-order from Top of the Chain today at 17:00 EST until 17:00 on the 14th of February. Talbot Shaving will be making the soap for this swan song release. It will be the last chance to get any Maol or Talbot! Thank you all for the support over the years! Cheers!

Maol Grooming began in late 2017 and formally launched in May 2018 at a meetup in Niagara-on-the-Lake. After receiving some positive feedback in a shave forum and concocting a few scents inspired by Mother Nature, I decided to bring it to market.

The next five (almost 6) years were filled with exciting releases, fulfilling collaborations, and many relationships that I'm sure will last a lifetime...

So it is with a heavy heart, I would like to announce the closure of Maol Grooming.

With the addition of a beautiful daughter to my family, career growth, and other responsibilities, I just don't think that Maol will receive the attention it needs to properly serve its loyal customers and the wet-shaving community as a whole. Shipping and material costs have also risen to a level where it wasn't making much sense (cents) for me or my vendors.

I would like to sincerely thank all of the talented artisans and vendors that have worked with Maol over the years and send an extra special thanks to frequent collaborator Talbot Shaving, the vendor to first give me a chance: Top of the Chain, and Tallow + Steel for the tremendous comeraderie over the years.

I'm beyond grateful for the support and encouragement this community has provided me, and wish you all the very best moving forward.

“A new scent is coming next week, and it’s a good one! Lost Fort is a collaboration with John at .cod.wet.shaving created with the memory of his old tree fort as a child. Dark, smooth wood notes blend with pine needles and leaves, topped with a fleeting honeysuckle note at the front.
