Just a reminder to be careful of direct heat this summer.

BBQ, fire pit, flat irons, and the oven if you're a year round baker!

Stand back, open the oven/bbq door (or have your SO do it) so that the initial blast dissipates.

Hold your other hand between the flat iron and your face - the heat setting can easily be 400F.

I've seen this damage from smoking as well.

I am so enjoying the gorgeous brown lashes I'm doing now.

One of my clients gave me the absolute BEST compliment.

She went for a facial and the esthetician went to remove her "mascara". The esthetician said she's only made that mistake twice, and that these lashes were among the best she'd ever seen.

Totally made my day!

I did the most fabulous lashes recently. A lady was referred to me, as another salon had given her what Moonbeam and I refer to as "Lambchop Lashes". Moonbeam says those lashes belong on toys, not ladies!!
This lady has porcelain skin, and platinum hair. Black does not suit her at all. We started with brown, then darkened it a bit, and this is her third fill. OH they are SO pretty!!! Drama without the fake look.

She loves them, I love them, and OH! I've just received some chocolate brown lashes - can't wait to play with them!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

LOVE ISN’T ALL HEARTS AND FLOWERS

Sometimes, love is asking if you’ve remembered to take your vitamins or drunk enough water.

Love is a friend who checks in on you, even when you say you’re fine.

Love is a family member who worries you’re making the wrong choices, and that can often feel like anything but love, but the truth is, they live in fear of you getting hurt because they feel every inch of your pain along with you.

Love can come in all shapes and sizes but never does unconditional love look like an expensive gift or a romantic weekend away. That’s just frosting.
You’re more likely to find it in a cup of tea, made just for you.

Love is real and ugly and shouty sometimes.
Lots of tears and lots of pain as the people involved break and bond and grow together as humans.

Valentines Day should be about counting all the love you have in your world and giving gratitude for it - that may not look like a steak dinner for two...
and that’s ok.

If you are loved my friend, at all, you are blessed. And if you have found some love for yourself along the way, then you are really winning at life.
That’s worth celebrating.
