The time has come I have made some huge life changes, and I have decided to not return to behind the chair!
This was a really big choice for me to make, but I had to choose what was better for my mental health. Doing hair brings me more anxiety than happiness, and I'm no longer willing to put myself through something were I feel ill both mentally and physically.

I want to say a huge huge THANKS to everyone who has sat in my chair over the years... its been a slice but now it's time to fully move on!

I am stepping away from the hair business for a good while due to personal reasons!
I am also leaving the city life behind me I have decided to change up my life a little.
I will keep everyone informed of when I will be back to work and where... but I won't be for a good while.
I'm so sorry for any inconvenience!!

Today was my last day in the salon for the foreseen future!! Thanks so much for everyone's support.

I am not done doing hair just taking a temporary break for now.

🤓 talks •PRODUCT COSTS• ⬇️

I spend thousands per month because I choose to use the best & most updated products for my clients.
Yes, there are cheaper professional products that I can use for my clients, but I choose the higher-end products that have a good reputation because,
quality over quantity.

+ the new techniques require a lot of product, even on just one head of hair. For just one client, I tend to use about 1-3 different tubs of bleach, 1-5 different developers, 1-10 different colors/toners, a TON of foil, and other hair products & tool essentials depending on hair goals, length, density, & type of hair I am working with.

With the beauty industry constantly evolving, there is always a new and improved product or technique coming out. So we are continually investing into our craft to better our services and stay updated with trends.

•ADDITIONAL EXPENSES•
Expenses that come with being an independent stylist include, salon insurance, salon/booth rent (depending on the city/state you’re in, can be more expensive), continued education, licensing fees, booking websites, marketing, taxes (taxes can be VERY expensive especially if you’re a sole proprietor. I personally suggest changing to an LLC), we have to take care of our retirement plan, life insurance, disability insurance, health insurance, etc.

Most stylists price their services based on their supply & demand.
If a particular stylist doesn’t fit within your budget, that’s okay! There are so many amazing stylists with different price ranges for everyone’s budget🤍

Today I had this gorgeous lady come and see me for her yearly color 😀
So we gave her an all over color and then a foilyage followed by a trim 😍 she left a very happy client!

I still can't get over this gorgeous Halloween creation I did in October 😍

Hair Transformation... I took my wonderful client from drab to FABULOUS in a day!! Huge props to Pulp Riot for making these amazing products so I can do my job as great as I do!! This creation took me well over 9 hours to do but it was darn well worth it.

This is my lovely Color Model/Client I had in my chair all day Friday🎃🕷
She wanted a wicked Halloween look that reminded her of Beetlejuice... and well I think I knocked it out of the park yet again😍 We are both ecstatic with the results.
The color creation itself took about 8.5 hours and the style and photo shoot took about 2 and half hours maybe closer to 3 hours, but all well worth it.

I love doing colors like these... they give me life and they are my complete passion! But as you can tell I am a huge fan of photography as well, I do have a class under my belt in that as well.

Pulp Riot is my paint of choice and I am the artist🎨
