A Step Up Salon

Today was my first full day in the new space! There are a few kinks to work out but nothing major. Overall, it was a successful day. Now for the thank yous. Warning: it’s a long list. I had a lot of help.

To Brooke White for giving me a soft place to land after closing my old space. You were a pleasure to work with and I wish you all the best. Thank you!

To Jed Fletcher for letting me rent your space while I did renovations on the new one. Not having to move twice made my life so much easier. Thank you!

To Joey Ledoux for doing a great job on the flooring. I know tearing up those carpet tiles was difficult. I appreciate your efforts. Thank you!

To my brother in law Paul Ledoux for the hours you spent prepping the walls to be painted, helping to move and putting things together for me. I appreciate your efforts. Thank you!

To Dave McCallum and Greg Radke for all the carpentry work, plumbing and finishing work that you did. You two were life savers for this renovation. I appreciate all your efforts. Thank you!

To Kim Christmann for your cricket machine, helping tear down that awful wall paper boarder and for helping to paint. I appreciate your efforts. Thank you!

To Ang Cannon for helping to paint and putting together the desk for me. You are a machine! I appreciate your efforts. Thank you!

To Sherry Wingham for once again helping to organize a move, putting together furniture, for doing all of the gluing and spray painting and for helping clean and get the new space ready. You made my life and the move so much easier. I appreciate your efforts. Thank you!

To my sissy Cheryl Arcand for helping move and clean and making me laugh when I needed it. I appreciate your efforts. Thank you!

To my mom Beatrice Arcand for all the encouragement when I was stressing about the move/renovations. You were right. It all came together. It all worked out. Thank you!

And last but not least, to my Pops in heaven. I felt your guiding hand every step of the way. I hope you’re proud of me.

Just a little sneak peek of what I‘ve been working on for the past couple months. All that is left to do is make it pretty! First full day in the new space is December 19th.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of my clients!! When I saw this I was reminded of how much Father’s Day was forever changed after losing mine. Those of us that can see and hug our moms today are truly blessed. To those that today is bittersweet, I am thinking of you.

Happy Valentine’s Day greetings to all my clients from myself in Mexico! Remember, it’s not just for couples, it’s to celebrate love in all forms; this picture of best friends on a beach has been a favourite of mine for years. Love is all around us.

Let's try this again couldn't seem like a more fitting way to ring in the new year. Overall, I think we can all agree that 2021 was better than 2020, but everyone is hopeful that 2022 will be the best yet. I wish you courage, hope, and happiness in the new year ahead!
