I have been back to work, but last night was my first outing since my surgeries. Humbly grateful that our donation stayed steady as the top bid the entire night. Until the very last minute when my mom got into a baseball bat bidding war 😂 never seen her so fiesty. Thank you to .beauty.bar.pg for pitching in. This fundraiser helped the Elite 18u baseball team significantly. Who ever won our package, we can’t wait to see you 🫶🏽

Hey everyone, I was headed to out to go to Tumbler over the weekend. I have been waiting for a call for a certain surgery to remove a mass from my stomach. Unfortunately the last four days I had a gallbladder attack every night and spent Sunday convulsing in delirious pain and had to come back for an emergency gallbladder removal. Not what I was expecting, nor was it the surgery I was waiting for. The good news is they removed both. I have rested the last couple days. I know movement is also good for recovery so I’m going to try my best to make it through work this week. If anything changes please know I will reach out to reschedule.

Teen acne isn’t always linear.
Genetics matter big time. Hormones matter big time and the combo of the two can present itself at an early age. And yes, the gut biome can play a huge role too.

Even when we get skin clear, flare ups can still happen because acne is multi layered and sometimes it’s coming from deeper than the surface. That doesn’t mean failure. It means the body is talking.

Knowing when to treat in studio and when to refer to a derm is part of doing this responsibly. Clear skin isn’t always a straight line and teens deserve care that looks at the whole picture, not quick fixes.

This is where I got this angel in 6 months, before a flare up presented itself at a deeper level.

In between the higher lift, I did a few passes with my all time fave brightening peel for pigment after a dermaplane (yes after is safe with some peels ~ the mela Cold Peel and used only products with Tranexamic Acid (my all time fave for pigment) BAM. ✨
