One of the most common questions I get is, "How far in advance should I book my wedding makeup artist?"

My recommendation is to book as soon as you've secured your wedding date. For peak wedding season (May–September), I recommend booking 12–15 months in advance, as dates fill up quickly. Planning an off-season wedding (October–April)? Booking 7–12 months in advance is typically ideal and gives you the best chance of securing your date.

The earlier you book, the more flexibility you'll have when scheduling your bridal trial and finalizing all the details leading up to your wedding day. A lot of people are surprised to learn that I didn't start my career in bridal makeup. I earned my diploma in Fashion and Film Makeup, where I trained in editorial, creative, special effects, and high-fashion makeup.

Those techniques gave me the foundation to create everything from bold editorial looks to full glam—and I still love doing them. But as I began working with clients, I noticed there was a real need in Prince George and the surrounding communities for an artist specializing in natural, timeless bridal beauty. So I chose to focus my education, techniques, and business on filling that gap.

Today, natural bridal makeup is my specialty—but it's not my limit.
