Colors/Toners will fade, no matter what!
But you can prevent/prolong this from happening sooner! Here are a few reasons your color could be fading sooner than normal!
• Heat Styling: Always use heat protectant!!! I cannot stress this enough, heat protection is so important!
• Porous/Weak hair: if your hair is feeling dry and damaged you need more moisture! Moisture will help your hair gain strength back and be able to hold onto to color longer!
•Sun Damage: Hear protection is just as important as
UV protection! Exposure to UV can cause dryness, reduced strength, and loss of Color to the hair!
•It's time for a refresh: color/toners fade naturally from
6-8 weeks on healthy hair! So maybe it's time for a refresh!
•Hard Water: hard water can be hard to avoid but you can always try going longer I between washes!
•Not using salon products: your hair routine is key to having healthy hair and longer lasting colors! Drugstore shampoos contain 70% water and professional products contain 5-10%. It's all about that concentration! Drugstore products can also be very stripping and lead to your color fading faster!
