Hello everyone! I know I’ve been a little MIA on this page lately, but I have some new and exciting news!!
I am glad to share that starting tomorrow I will be be working at BOTH Elite Chiropractic in Red Deer, AND ALSO at Lacombe Massage Therapy!

Another exciting announcement for those that don’t know, I am currently expecting baby #2 for our family in November! So for these next few months you will be able to book in either location until I eventually take maternity leave 🥰

Looks like I will be back to work sooner than I thought after Christmas! 🥳🎉
This article is fairly vague so hopefully there are more clear answers soon! I will be having a meeting tomorrow morning and will update everyone as we know more!

Alberta updates COVID-19 restrictions; exemptions for massage, counselling, single people Alberta announced some exemptions to the current COVID-19 restrictions for massage therapy, private counselling and end-of-life home visits.

It pains me that Alberta sees massage to be in the same category as non-health related services such as nails and hair..
Chiropractic, acupuncture, and physiotherapy are all allowed to continue treating but for some reason massage isn’t also seen as an equal form of health related treatment. I know some people just go to massage to “relax” however in these times “just relaxing” may be exactly what someone needs for their mental state. Not only that, but working in the field of massage I know that the majority of people use massage as a health service to treat/prevent injuries. RMT’s have followed all extensive protocols and I don’t see why we wouldn’t be allowed to treat when physiotherapy and acupuncture is.

I hope the government will see this petition and reconsider.
