Hello all it’s Cassie here. I have been we're just about one year now.
When I was 10 years old my mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) flash forward 15 years later and she lives a pretty normal life now thankfully!
MS is a disease that attacks the brain, the nervous systems & the body as a whole. Symptoms change person to person but the main ones are vision changes, numbness or tingling, mussel weakness, fatigue and dizziness.

Last Spring I decided to take on the lead of putting a team together for the MS Red deer walk that happens in May. I decided to do a walk because it’s something me and my mom can do together, she walks almost every day at home because some studies have shown walking is good for people with MS! Last year as a team we raised over $1000, this year I am doing the same with a goal to raise $3000 as a team!

Fundraising for MS is important to me because it effects someone who I know and love. Canada has one of the highest MS rates in the world and Alberta has the highest rate of MS in the country, and they have no idea why that is. On average 12 Canadians are diagnosed with MS each day.
Fundraising helps support world leading researchers to discover the cause of MS but most importantly find a cure for it! If you would like to donate to this very important cause please tap the link in our bio to donate to our team and help us find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.🤍
