Some days I catch my reflection in this space and think about how many incredible women have shaped the person looking back.

My momma, my grandmothers, my beautiful friends - strong women who showed me what resilience, kindness, and grace truly look like.

And every day in this industry, I’m surrounded by even more inspiring women. My amazing clients who trust me in this space, share their stories, and remind me constantly how powerful women supporting women can be.

Each year doesn't go without challenges. Injuries, setbacks, and moments that forced me to slow down more than I wanted to. But stepping into 40 has given me a deeper appreciation for strength — the quiet kind that keeps showing up, even when things aren’t easy.

Working in the beauty industry has taught me something important: beauty is so much more than what we see in the mirror. It’s confidence, resilience, connection, and the way women lift each other up.

Today I celebrate the women who shaped me, the women beside me, and the women who inspire me daily.

While I am now working 4 days a week, they are still not full days, but I'm doing what I can.

For insight, I still cannot turn my hand palm up or hold more than 2 lbs. My fingers get really weak and shaky & I get sharp pains, clicks & grinding in my wrist. I can't do a normal hair tie, I've wasted so much shampoo & still can't pick that left cheek we**ie!

But there are a lot of things I CAN do this summer that I couldn't last year, so I'll take the joy in that.

The truth is, the past 11.5 months have been some of the hardest for me. I've always just thought broken bones heal and that's that. But my wrist break wasn't typical and my healing hasn't been normal either.

It has changed everything - how I live, how I work, how I feel, how I think. The mental health aspect of it all has been unexpected and geez can't a girl pick her own left cheek we**ie by now?!

Navigating recovery in day to day life has been far from easy. There have been setbacks, slow progress and lots of frustration, but also moments of gratitude and light.
I'm here, still showing up, still rebuilding.
