Why do you need cuticle oil? 💅
Cuticle oil keeps the skin around your nails hydrated, soft and healthy.
It helps prevent dryness, cracking and hangnails — and keeps your manicure looking fresh for longer.
A little oil every day makes a big difference! ✨

What is actually lunula(while half moons on your nails)?
The lunula is actually a part of the nail matrix, which is located under the skin at the base of the nail, and is responsible for producing the cells that form the nail plate. The lunula is an important part of the nail’s structure, as it helps to provide support and strength to the nail.
Why it’s white?
The lunula appears white because it is made up of a thicker layer of keratin compared to the rest of the nail. The keratin in the lunula is more densely packed and reflects light differently, which gives it a white appearance.
Why some people’s lunula smaller or bigger?
In some cases, the lunula may appear smaller or be obscured by the surrounding skin, making it less visible. Size and shape of the lunula can vary from person to person, it can be influenced by a variety of factors, including genetics, age, and overall health. Some people naturally have larger or smaller lunula, just like how some people have larger or smaller noses or ears. In addition, the size of the lunula can change over time. For example, the lunula may appear larger in children and adolescents, but may become smaller as a person ages.
Certain medical conditions or lifestyle factors can also impact the size of the lunula. For example, poor nutrition, anemia, and chronic diseases can lead to smaller lunula.
If you are concerned about the size of your lunula, it’s a good idea to speak with a healthcare professional to determine if there are any underlying health issues that may be causing the change.
Why does your nail tech file underneath your nails? 👀
It’s not just for looks.
After a gel overlay, filing underneath removes excess product, keeps the free edge thin and clean, and helps maintain the correct structure.
Small detail. Big difference.

Hooked nails why to fix?
When a client has one or more hooked nails we must fix these in order to not further damage the nail.
A downward growing nail paired with a regular gel or soft builder overlay will be dragging down a lot of weight as it grows. This will cause pressure on the nail plate which will lead to detachments around the cuticle area and in the centre of the nail and this will cause damage over time.
❓ What to do then?
Use a thick viscosity hard gel or polygel to raise the tip of the nail, then proceed with a thin overlay of either a low viscosity hard gel or soft builder gel. No apex is needed, they already have a natural one!
⭐️ Top Tip: Save the shaping for the very end so you have a nice crisp finish.
Why is her thumb shorter than the other fingers? 👀
No, it’s not an injury.
And no, it’s not caused by anything she did.
This is called brachydactyly — a genetic condition where certain finger bones develop shorter than usual.
She was simply born with it. ❤️
