Urban Gardening and Planting with Purpose workbook complete. It is 41 pages!!! I also have a PowerPoint presentation that I will run during the workshop this coming Sunday. I have some hands on activities planned and each person will have me there to help them with their garden planning/design.

I have to make up the gift bags that each person who is attending will receive.

I am excited!!! This is going to be a great in person workshop.

Nature Nurture Wellness will be in Lumsden SK at the Lumsden rink tomorrow from 10 to 3!! 71 vendors in attendance. There will also be a food truck and stuff for kids. I will have my herbal medicinal infusions/decoctions and tinctures, plus aromatherapy products, including my tick/bug and magnesium sprays. Dehydrated fruits, herbs and vegetables. Organically grown on our acreage in Edenwold SK. I will also have my living lockets and charms, plus empowerment necklaces and bracelets.

Our indoor growing setup!! 3 indoor greenhouses full of plants I started from seed. I am very particular where my seeds come from and what soil I use. One shelving unit starting to get full of plants that no longer need the grow lights. We have to cat proof it lol 😆 😂

I started fruits (tomatoes) and vegetables, plus herbs and flowers.

Cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, tomatoes and peppers.

Lots of herbs - thyme (2 different types), basil (4 different varieties), rosemary, skullcap, marshmallow, echinacea, feverfew, borage, St. John's wort, chamomile, calendula, catnip, valerian, plantain, tulsi holy basil, and burdock root.

Flowers: geraniums, gazanias, marigolds, coleus, dusty miller, lobelia, black-eyed susan and begonia.

I am sure I am forgetting something. We plant a lot of our vegetables directly from seed in the ground. Our garlic is coming up too!!

I have decided to only do one date for each workshop to keep it simple. We are just too busy in the spring, summer and fall.

July 12th - Common Weeds/Herbs for Herbal Medicine + How to Make Simple Infusions/Tinctures

September 13th - Homesteading 101: Harvesting/Preserving/Canning

Maximum 10 people per workshop. Once full, they are full.

Payment confirms your spot. $100 per person per workshop. PM me for my email address.

You will receive a workbook in pdf format before each workshop plus will be given something to take home afterwards. You will need to bring your own lawn chair, plus pen/pencil. I would suggest printing out the workbook and bringing a copy with you to take notes and fill it in as we go.

Two dates available for each workshop. These workshops will take place at my acreage in Edenwold SK. Spots are limited as I will only be allowing a maximum of 10 people per workshop. The cost is $100 per person per workshop.

You will receive a workbook in pdf format. You will also be given something to take home.

About Me: It all started back in 1996 at Olds College AB where I majored in horticulture (landscaping). My first job in the industry was working for the Calgary Zoo where I helped build the Northern Forest. I continued my education at the UofR with 2 undergraduate degrees in Biology (specialty plants/botany) and Environmental Science. I continued my education with a double MSc degree combining both of my undergraduate majors. My thesis study area was Grasslands National Park.

I have worked for both the federal and provincial governments as an ecologist. I conducted plant surveys in SK for Fish & Wildlife. I have taught at both the UofR (Biology department) and UofS (College of Agriculture Department of Soil Science). I have been working with plants for 30 years.
