One thing we've learned from traveling as a family of four is that it's often the little things that make a hotel stay more enjoyable.
A comfortable bed after a long drive. A good breakfast before heading out. A clean room. A place where the kids can swim. Enough space for everyone to relax.
These are the little things we always look for when choosing a hotel for our family.
During one of our recent road trips, we stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites Fort Saskatchewan, one of the Choice Hotels properties, and it reminded us why these little details make such a big difference when traveling with kids.

There’s something about standing by a river that reminds me not everything has to be rushed.
No notifications. No deadlines. Just fresh air, flowing water, and a few quiet minutes to slow down.
Those simple moments often stay with us the longest.
