Just the time away we needed

Let’s prioritize colour maintenance for the most hidden and natural results in 2026.

Living in her “dark” era.

We’ve talked about going darker for forever and I was so so happy that we finally took the plunge.

This was hands down my biggest transformation of 2025. Just in time for the holidays.

We needed to remove her old (new) extensions, they were causing her so much pain especially around her nape area.

Then it was time to correct her colour. Her previous toners were done with permanent colour which resulted in uneven lift when she would get new highlights, unwanted brassy tones, and overall unnecessary damage to her natural hair.

I added in lowlights and 3 different root applications to create a softer transition from where the bleach met her natural. So basically filling, colouring, and blending all in one go.

A big chop to clean up her ends. She hadn’t been getting routine trims with her extension appointments which is so important!

Then we installed all new hair.

And the result is soooo good! This client was extremely understanding of what we had to work with and put all her trust in me. I’m so grateful she did because this one had me working overtime in my brain.

Now we’re on our road to recovery and getting her to her dream colour. And that will take multiple sessions with time, patience, the right products, and home care.

10 YEARS ✨

I remember signing our first lease and thinking a decade seems like forever. And in many ways it’s felt like a long time and in others, it’s flown by.

A lot of people have moved through our doors over the years and each one of them has helped me grow as a person and as a leader. I’m so grateful for every single one of you!

I’ll keep it short and sweet, and end by saying thank you to ALL of our clients that grace our chairs. Thank you to the team for literally every thing you do. I wouldn’t be here 10 years later if it weren’t for you.
