Let’s chat MUGWORT! (Artemisia vulgaris)
Mugwort is strongly associated with vivid dreams, lucid dreaming and prophetic visions.
It contains a terpene called thujone, which is also present in wormwood, cedar, sage and more.
Thujone acts as a partial GABA-A receptor blocker.
GABA is th neurotransmitter to at is responsible for shutting off our conscious awareness when we sleep. By partially blocking our GABA receptors, mugwort allows a tiny spark of consciousness to remain active while we are in deep, REM sleep. This doesn’t prevent us from sleeping, but it drastically improves dream recall, makes dream more vivid and opens the doo lr to lucid dreaming.

Roberta Bernat of Void of Course Crystals will be present for a three-card read for all participants while Melissa of Apple Hill Apothecary shares folklore and pharmacology surrounding some of her favourite herbs. Herbs discussed will be different for each Tea and Tarot workshop\
