Let's talk about skin tags — because friction gets blamed, but it's rarely the full story. 👀
Here's what I actually see in the treatment room: skin tags form where skin rubs against skin or fabric (neck, underarms, under the bra line), but the underlying driver is often insulin resistance.
Elevated insulin can trigger skin cell overgrowth — which is why multiple tags clustered in one area can be worth mentioning to your doctor, not just your clinician.
Other contributors: hormonal shifts (hey, pregnancy 👋), genetics, age, and weight — all of which increase friction points or overlap with insulin resistance.
