When ammonia is mixed with peroxide it creates toxic gasses resulting in an unstable pH level. Causing damage to the hair and uneven results. The Chi colour line is ammonia free and does not create any gasses. Therefore the colour maintains a consistent pH level that translates into beautiful vibrant colours and happy hair!
