Clip-in extensions absolutely have their place, and an experienced stylist can make them feel incredibly secure for your wedding day. But there’s one thing they can’t always overcome—distribution of fullness.

Because clip-ins are attached in wider sections, they naturally add the majority of their volume to the back of the head. This can leave the sides looking less full, especially in professional photos where every angle is captured. It’s a detail many brides don’t notice until they’re looking through their wedding gallery.

Most premature strand loss comes down to aftercare — not the nano itself. The biggest culprits are improper brushing techniques, using the wrong brush, brushing while hair is still too wet or damp, and applying oil-based products too close to the roots.

I’m always happy to find room in my schedule to pop a few extensions back in, but healthy, long-lasting extensions start with proper home care. 💛

And just a gentle reminder: $2.00 per strand is not the standard rate for reinstalling strands between maintenance appointments.
