🚧 Road Closure: Hudson Avenue

The City of Salmon Arm Public Works Department advises there will be a temporary road closure for the Spring Fest on Hudson event.

🗓️ Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

📍 Location: Hudson Avenue (between Shuswap Street and Alexander Street) & portion of McLeod Street

🚶‍♀️ Access: Pedestrian traffic only

Detours will be available via Shuswap Street and Lakeshore Drive.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this exciting community event takes place.

Tonite is the last time in BC!
Change your clocks before you go to bed.

When we turn the clocks ahead on March 8, it will be the last time change ever for BC.

We're making Daylight Saving Time permanent, with a new time zone called Pacific Time (PT).

It aligns us with the Yukon, which stopped changing its clocks in 2020. PT will be aligned with Alberta and other regions on Mountain Standard Time in the winter, and with California, Washington, Oregon and other Pacific Standard Time regions the rest of the year.

This change is better for our health, our routines, and gives us an extra hour of daylight during those dark winter months. It also simplifies life for businesses and service providers—and for everyone who’s said they’re ready for a permanent change.

Wednesday on the Wharf is an open-air summertime concert series presented by the Salmon Arm Arts Centre. Every Wednesday evening in July and August, people of all ages gather at Marine Peace Park to meet up with friends, soak up the evening sun, and enjoy a wide range of live music. 🎶
