Today, on International Lipstick Day, we are celebrating someone very special, Missy's grandma, Patty Mae.
Patty Mae recently turned 99, but her story with MisMacK began years ago when she helped me create the coral lipstick shade that now carries her name.
We wanted Patty Mae to feel warm, joyful and full of life, just like her. For every Patty Mae lipstick sold, we donated $5 to Habitat for Humanity Okanagan and together raised approximately $700.
A lipstick can be more than colour. It can hold a memory, honour a person and become part of a much bigger story.

Meet Blake Lucas. 💙
Yesterday, the Salmon Arm Observer shared this beautiful photo of Blake adjusting the dried flower crown she created at our U Grow Girl tent. We couldn’t imagine a better image to capture the joy, creativity, and community we’ve experienced all weekend.
This is our second year bringing our dried flower crown station to ROOTSandBLUES, and once again we’ve watched children, parents, grandparents, and friends gather around our table to create something beautiful together.
Every floral crown made this weekend shines a light on U Grow Girl’s free Time To Heal Retreats for women who have survived childhood sexual abuse. It’s a simple activity with a much bigger purpose—every crown created tells survivors, we see you and we stand with you.
