If We Knew

If we knew what we came here to do,
we wouldn't do it.

As we untangle the threads
of all the things done and undone,
the tangled web begins to loosen,
revealing the map of the soul's destination.

If we knew what we came here to do,
we wouldn't do it.

The guilt we carry within our hearts,
woven together with our inability
to forgive ourselves,
holds us hostage in the mind
spinning endlessly,
like a carousel that never stops.

If we knew what we came here to do,
we wouldn't do it.

We battle the endless question of why.
Why did we do the things we've done?
Praying that one day
the weight will finally let go.

And then comes surrender.

Surrender to the outcome.

Surrender to the mystery
of why we have walked the paths we have walked.

The lessons learned.

The deeds done.

The wounds carried.

The love discovered.

All in harmony
with the purpose of the soul.

If we knew what we came here to do,
we wouldn't do it.

For sometimes we must walk through the darkness
to recognize the light.

Sometimes we must lose ourselves
to remember who we are.

And perhaps that has been the purpose all along.

Like salmon returning upstream to where life began, participants explore what it means to return to themselves, their lineage, and the patterns carried through generations not to stay stuck in the past, but to transform it.

Salmon return not because the journey is easy, but because something ancient calls them home.

We gather this weekend to listen for that same call within ourselves to honor what shaped us, release and choose what we carry forward for the generations ahead.

Yesterday's Health is Wealth Expo was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with open hearts and a shared passion for healing.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the practitioners and product providers who generously shared their knowledge, gifts, and time. Your willingness to educate, inspire, and support others made this event truly special.

A special thank you to Darlene Nysoruk-Reeves and Lynn Erinfor warmly welcoming our guests and helping create such an inviting atmosphere from the moment people arrived.

We are so grateful for the kindness exchanged throughout the educational talks, healing sessions, and meaningful conversations. Everyone who attended walked away with new knowledge, new connections, and, for many, a deeper sense of hope and possibility.

Thank you as well to everyone who donated gifts to our silent auction. Together, we raised funds for the **North Shuswap Food Security Program**, helping extend the spirit of caring beyond this event.

There was so much gained, so much learned, and so much gratitude shared. We can't wait to gather again for the next Health is Wealth Expo.
