I’ve been keeping a pretty BIG little secret! 🥹 Baby Langford is officially joining our team in January/February 2027! ⚾️👶🏼

Our family is so incredibly excited for this next chapter, and I feel beyond blessed to be growing a baby while continuing to grow Braids by Bailey. 🫶🏼

To all of my amazing clients, thank you for supporting me, cheering me on, and being part of this little business that means so much to me. Don’t worry, I’m still behind the chair and braiding away… I may just be moving a little slower as this belly gets bigger. 😂🤰🏻

📚🚌 SCHOOL YEAR HOURS ARE COMING! 🚌📚

It’s almost that time again! With summer winding down and the kids heading back to school, my schedule at Braids by Bailey will be changing a little too.

As many of you know, I’m also a school bus driver, so once school starts my weekday appointments need to work around my morning and afternoon bus routes. 💕 Don’t worry, I’m definitely not disappearing for the school year! 😂 I’ll still have lots of opportunities to get you into my chair, my schedule will just look a little different than it has throughout the summer.

📚 Back to school officially starts September 8th, so beginning that day my regular availability will be:

✨ MONDAY – FRIDAY
10:30 AM – 1:30 PM
&
After 6:00 PM

✨ SATURDAYS
Available ALL DAY

✨ SUNDAYS
Closed

I do occasionally make special arrangements for Sunday afternoons, so if you have something coming up and absolutely need a Sunday appointment, feel free to message me! I can’t guarantee availability, but from time to time I may be able to accommodate you. 🫶🏼

📚 PD DAYS & SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

One little bonus of my school bus schedule is that I’ll also have additional daytime availability on PD days, school holidays and school breaks! Once the school year gets underway, I’ll update those dates on my booking calendar so you’ll be able to see the extra availability as it comes up.

This summer has kept me incredibly busy, and I’m so grateful for every person who has sat in my chair and trusted me with their hair. 🥹🫶🏼

Since my availability will be a little more limited during the school year, I recommend booking ahead whenever possible, especially for longer appointments. My booking site will always show my most up-to-date availability so you can easily find a time that works for you.

Thank you SO much to everyone who sent me suggestions and recommendations! 🖤 There were honestly a few options shared that I really wanted to go with, especially because some of them came in such beautiful colours and would have looked amazing in my space. The more I looked into everything, the more I realized I needed to think beyond what I loved aesthetically and consider the wide range of people I service. Everyone has different sizes, heights and comfort needs, especially when some appointments can last several hours. I want every single person who sits in my chair to feel comfortable, supported and welcome.

I’m really leaning toward the GreenLife Premium Extra Wide Hydraulic Recline Barber Chair as the best option for my braiding setup! It has a 25” wide seat, 400 to 500 lb weight capacity, high density memory foam cushioning, 360° swivel, hydraulic height adjustment and reclining capabilities. It gives me the extra space and support I was looking for while also being much more ergonomic for me. Being able to adjust the height and swivel the chair would allow me to work from a rolling stool more often and hopefully save my back from constantly bending while braiding. At around $399 CAD, it seems to give me the best balance of comfort, accessibility, durability, functionality and price. 🖤

What does everyone think of this option?

When I first switched to my recliner, I got SO much positive feedback about it and honestly, I loved that my clients could actually relax and be comfortable during those long appointments!

Lately I’ve received some constructive feedback about the results of certain styles when they’re done in the recliner, and I don’t want to ignore that. 🫶🏼

As much as I love keeping you comfortable, the quality and finished result of your hair is always going to be my priority. If the positioning of the recliner is making it harder for me to get the best possible result, then it may be time for a change!

So before I go chair shopping, I want YOUR recommendations! 👀
