We’ve been working on some pretty exciting things behind the scenes… and we can formally anounce that we are expanding! You may have seen our changes to the website and booking system already 🥰

We are so excited to announce TWO new locations joining the Salt & Stone family:

⛏️ McIlvenna Bay Mine
📍 Creighton, Saskatchewan

Our McIlvenna Bay location will allow us to bring RMT services directly to employees onsite (which may not seem as applicable for our announcement but we have a shocking amount of clients who work there!) while our new Creighton location will bring RMT, Physiotherapy, Reflexology and Esthetic services to the community and surrounding area.

What started in Saskatoon continues to grow, and we’re incredibly excited to bring our team, services, and approach to wellness into Northern Saskatchewan. ❤️

There is LOTS more to share — including services, opening dates, booking information and scheduling for who will be traveling and working up north on rotations.

Booking is available online - but we still have team members on standby via call and text to assist from 9am to 9pm daily.

Now that we've processed all of our client feedback from July and created an ongoing improvement plan for 2026... we thought, why not provide some FAQs!

It's nearly impossible to verbally go over every detail of the business with every client. With improved website and booking system management, along with regular social media posts, we hope to answer more of your questions on a regular basis. ❤

What are we?

→ We are a multidisciplinary health & wellness clinic — not a spa! Our focus is on wellness services provided by our diverse team. Do some of our services overlap with what you'd find at a spa? Absolutely! Services can have therapeutic value — physical, emotional or otherwise. While we want our space to feel welcoming and comfortable, we are not a high-end aesthetic spa, as some have assumed in the past.

Why do we have to do an assessment with a Student or RMT?

→ RMT services are healthcare services. Due to the lack of provincial regulation, they are often confused with spa services, and people have differing opinions on their medical benefits. Regardless, all Students and RMTs follow educational and registration guidelines to understand client concerns, identify treatment areas, ensure safety and provide appropriate homecare. As outlined in our waivers, assessment is part of your treatment!

Why can't we guarantee direct billing?

→ The short answer is every insurance plan and insurance company is different — and there are a LOT of them! Direct billing is completed through third-party portals that we have NO control over, including system outages, maintenance, processing errors or insurer issues. Insurance companies can also take up to 30 days to issue payment, meaning problems can arise after a claim is submitted. We keep detailed records and, whenever possible, work directly with insurers to resolve post-submission issues.

Can we expand our parking?

→ Unfortunately, no. Our private lot has designated parking stalls included in our lease. Parking in another business's designated stalls may result in a ticket, which we are not responsible for. What many don't realize is that ALL street parking in our area is 100% free! We're close to downtown, but not within the paid parking area.

Why do your RMTs treat differently?

→ They're supposed to! Part of being an RMT is developing an individual treatment approach through years of education and hands-on experience. Treatment styles, pressure, techniques and personalities all vary. Matching with an RMT whose approach fits your treatment goals creates the best experience for both client and practitioner — and reception is available 12 hours a day to help you find that match!

Are we a scent-free environment?

→ No. We have never been a scent-free facility. We offer numerous essential oil options and use seasonal scents in diffusers throughout the clinic. If you have an allergy or sensitivity, please contact us before your appointment and we will accommodate to the best of our ability!

Is tipping required?

→ Absolutely not! Physiotherapists cannot accept tips, and our other providers never expect or judge whether a tip is given. If you choose to leave one, it is always appreciated by your service provider, but tipping is 100% optional at all times.
