Your lymphatic system is working behind the scenes every single day—and there’s so much more to it than fluid retention or feeling puffy.

It’s a whole-body network that plays an important role in fluid balance and immune function. And unlike your circulatory system, it doesn’t have one central pump like the heart. Movement, muscle contractions and breathing all help support the natural movement of lymph throughout the body.

That’s why lymphatic health is bigger than one treatment. Walking, stretching, deep breathing, hydration and regular movement can all be part of supporting healthy lymphatic flow.

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage can be another supportive piece of that wellness routine, using rhythmic, targeted techniques designed to encourage healthy lymphatic flow and temporary fluid movement while creating space for your body to slow down and relax.

Support your flow. Support your whole body. Give yourself space to reset.

Your hormones don’t exist in their own little world — everything in the body is connected.

While lymphatic drainage doesn’t directly “balance” your hormones, it can be a supportive part of your overall wellness routine.

Healthy lymphatic flow supports fluid movement throughout the body, while the relaxing nature of a treatment may assist with nervous system regulation, stress reduction and recovery. And during certain phases of your cycle, supporting fluid movement may be especially helpful when you’re feeling puffy, heavy or bloated.

It’s not about promising a quick fix. It’s about giving your body another form of support and learning to listen to what it needs. 🤍

Your lymphatic system does a lot more than help with fluid movement—and part of it is closely connected to your gut.

Your digestive tract contains gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT), an important part of the immune system. The small intestine also contains specialized lymphatic vessels called lacteals.

So what are they doing?

• Immune support: GALT helps your immune system monitor and respond to what passes through the intestinal environment.
• Fat absorption: Lacteals absorb dietary fats and help transport fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E + K through the lymphatic system.
• Fluid balance: Lymphatic vessels help collect and transport fluid throughout the body.

This is why we love educating beyond the idea that lymphatic drainage is simply about looking less “puffy.” Your lymphatic system is involved in processes throughout your entire body, including immune function, fluid balance and nutrient transport.

Supporting your lymphatic system is about whole-body wellness, not just appearance. 🤍

What happens after your lymphatic drainage appointment matters too. 🤍

Lymphatic drainage is designed to support the natural movement of lymph fluid throughout the body. While you may notice visible changes like feeling less puffy, the lymphatic system itself plays a much bigger role in maintaining fluid balance and supporting immune function.

And your lymphatic system doesn’t have a central pump like your heart. Muscle movement and breathing are among the mechanisms that help lymph move—which is why simple habits after your appointment can support normal lymphatic flow.

Hydration, gentle movement, deep breathing and following your practitioner’s individualized aftercare recommendations can all be part of taking care of yourself after treatment.

Because lymphatic drainage isn’t only about what you see on the outside—it’s about supporting your body as a whole. 🤍

Surgery is only one part of the process your body still has healing to do.

After surgery, swelling and temporary fluid buildup can be a natural part of recovery. Your lymphatic system plays an important role in moving excess tissue fluid throughout the body and supporting the healing process.

When appropriate and cleared by your healthcare provider, post-operative lymphatic drainage may assist with:

• Supporting natural lymphatic flow
• Managing post-operative swelling
• Supporting healthy circulation
• Easing feelings of tightness or heaviness
• Creating a more comfortable recovery experience

Post-op lymphatic drainage isn’t just about how your results look—it’s about supporting your body while it does the work of healing.

Every surgery and recovery is different. Always consult with your surgeon or healthcare provider to determine when lymphatic drainage is appropriate for you.
