How lucky we are to participate in epic one of a kind events!
Big thank you to Ile à la crosse for inviting us to celebrate their 250th anniversary. We had Kayaks in Sakitawak all weekend👌🏽 we braved some rain with the sunshine and met wonderful people who made their way back to the community and as well as connected with locals and visitors!
Our Co-branded T-shirts we made, especially for the event for a hit 💥
A big thank you to Olivia and Colton who helped tackle this event.
Personally have always loved this community and the people there so it was an honour to be a part of this

Thank you Buffalo Narrows friends and family for an epic Strawberry Moon paddle!
The clouds gave way at 11:36pm and she showed us glorious light 🌕
Of course we had bannock for a treat and good laughs! And you know we took a cool swim in the warm lake afterwards!
Thank you to Meghan Morin for having us out ♥️

River Update:
We lightly paddled/drifted from Poplar Bluff today.
The water is swiftly moving and higher than usual.
Harder to paddle up stream for the average person.
I wouldn’t advise playing in the river for next while.
The Local Adventure Co. Will be closed and reassess Friday June 12th

Hello! 🌞
For those who are new here, I'm Candice Evans-Waite — a Métis entrepreneur, mother of four, and the owner/operator of The Local Adventure Co.
Over the past six years, I've poured my heart into growing this passion project into a premier rental and guided tour company based in Saskatoon, with strong roots in Northern Saskatchewan.
More than a business, this is about connection — to the land, to each other, and to the stories that make us who we are.
I invite you to join us this summer, hear some of the stories that brought us here, and spend time reconnecting with Mother Nature.
As we celebrate Indigenous History Month and prepare for Indigenous Peoples Day, I encourage you to support Indigenous-owned businesses and take time to learn, listen, and connect.
