SKIN PREP FOR MAKEUP APPLICATIONS

Hey, I know I don’t post much on here. I just want to give a couple tips on how to get the best experience from your makeup artist and even getting hair done for weddings, photoshoots.
Skin prep is more important than makeup itself. Having a good skin care routine will ensure you get full benefits from your makeup and application in general.
When you see a makeup artist it’s not their responsibility for the condition your skin is in. We work with what we got and what goes to us the best we can. There for if you don’t look after your skin and your foundation doesn’t cover properly, looks a certain way, settles into pores. That’s all from lack of skin care.
Even if you don’t exfoliate on a normal basis this is SO important and will make the world of difference in how your foundation looks and sits on your skin. Will even effect your coverage. Doing it the night before or morning of will help remove all the dead skin giving a nice smooth surface to work on.
Moisturizing is also super important. Hydrated skin will also change the appearance of your makeup specially good foundation. Also plumps up your skin and helps with a healthy glow.
Primer. Having a good base for makeup will make sure full coverage makeup is full coverage. Primer will also help with makeup settling into pores. Will help makeup last longer. Depending on the brand if can help with oily skin and dry skin. So many benefits.

If you have poor skin care don’t expect miracles from a makeup artist. We can only work with what we are given.

Little tip also for hair. Dirty hair works best for up do’s, curls etc. Do not wash your hair the night before or day of getting your hair done. Hair will hold onto moisture for many many hours after being washed. Even the night before can effect getting hair done the following day.

Happy New year everyone, I’ve gotten a few messages about makeup. Yes I’m still doing makeup. It’s been extremely slow since I moved, than following my Move covid hit. All weddings canceled etc.
Things seem to be slowly picking back. I have accepted a couple makeup jobs this year so far.
I come to you. I’m extremely easy to work with. We can figure things out.
Got the honour to do makeup yesterday for face shot photos. With times and people working I was only able to do one. Once the face shots are out I’ll post a before and after.
I do grad shots, photo shoots ( some extremely creative ) weddings, birthdays … anything makeup is needed for.
I also to makeup lesson parties. Good drinks makeup. I teach ! Great girls evening or even before an evening out before the girls go out for a night in the town. Right now I’m not working so I’m Super easy to get a hold of !
