Life has a funny way of propelling you on a path you never imagined yourself on.

At the end of the month, LO Massage & Wellness Studio will close her doors as I add another chapter to the life of Lindsay Olver.

I have been accepted into a Master’s program at the University of Saskatchewan, which I will start this fall.

I still love massage therapy and will continue to offer treatments however, there will be changes in how this will look. An update to come soon!

There is still June availability if you want to sneak in one last visit to the studio!

I'm looking forward to the future and can't thank my friends, family, and clients enough for all the support.

When do you feel most supported?

During a standing forward fold, my Yoga teacher used to always say, "if you can't reach the floor, just bring the floor up to you." (by placing blocks under your hands)

I think about this often.

Reaching out for support is often equated as a sign of weakness. Like we need to stretch ourselves beyond what is possible.

We're all on our own journey and accomodations or support look different for everyone. They may even fluctuate from day to day.

Here is a gentle reminder to support yourself today.

It's been a full, fast, and eventful couple of months for me over here.

I'm looking forward to recharging over the holidays and getting lost in those days between Christmas and New Years.

I hope you find time to be with what brings you joy!

No pain, no gain is a myth.

You don't need to be in pain for your massage to be effective and everyone's tolerance for pressure is different.

Certain techniques and locations may be more tender but you don't need to endure pain for your treatment to be beneficial.

Sometimes jusy being still and relaxing will ease sore muscles.

What's your happy place?

I am often asked what the most common area I get requests to have massaged.

Hands down (pun intended), it would be back and neck!

Some areas I find to be underrated and get overlooked are scalp, hands, feet, or abdomen.

People often feel like they carry tension in their neck and shoulders, but our bodies can carry tension anywhere.

There is muscle and fascia on our scalp.

Our hands and feet constantly hold and carry us.

And our abdomen works hard to hold us up, help us breathe, and digest our food.
