I also just hit the 1 year mark of my Bell's Palsy recovery. I'm working on accepting the parts of my face that are not back to complete function and also the fact that I look different now. I could talk about this for hours but I will just say I am especially thankful for your kindness in the past year.

Well friends, here is my new (hopefully temporary) face/smile.

I have Bell's Palsy. The right side of my face is paralyzed. Since I can't hide it, I thought I'd feel better just putting it out there.

It seems most people have a story of it happening to someone they know which has helped somehow so if you haven't heard of it before, now you have.

It's been quite a mind trip.
