Another rewarding curl cut! This last little bit I have seen some new faces sit in my chair and the fun part is helping people start their curl journey. finding out what works for them! Some clients love using 3 styling products and some clients are happy to find the time to wash their hair! I’m not judging! I’m just excited for you to figure out what's realistic for you!

Can you see the difference in the shape of her hair? When she came in I would compare her hair to more of a triangle and the look we were going for was square, seems silly right? Talking about shapes when you come for a cut? But to be honest the hardest thing is explaining to your stylist what you're wanting!! I think we nailed it with something shorter, more layers and of course a brighter for summer!

Curly hair needs special care and products that can provide greater hydration and nourishment. Everyone’s curls are different so what might work for your neighbour might not work for you and that’s okay! It’s bout finding what works for YOU and your curls!

The reason for curly hair is based on the bulb. The bulb is the area where hair originates, where keratin, the smallest brick that makes up hair structure is formed.

What this color is hiding is that she boxed died her hair twice before she came Into me! I wasn't sure how easy her hair would lift but we got her to the desired color!
the best thing she did when coming in was being honest with me so I could use the appropriate formula to get her hair to the desired color. Overall this color gave me all the happy feels!🥳🥳

The styling product I used is Earthtones jelly.
The thing about curly hair is people can find it stressful when you are first getting started, but when you first start working and learning about your curls less is more. Often times I find people put way too much product in their hair and they end up weighing it down

The reason I like using a jelly is it defines the curls nicely but a flaw with using something stronger is it takes longer to dry. I try to keep it away from the root on tighter curls to speed up the drying time

Do you want lighter hair? But you have coloured it darker recently or even worse, box dyed it during covid times. That’s fine it will be a little longer process to get there but it can happen, if you want to get there I need you to prepare your hair before we can lighten it up. I need you to focus on getting the moisture and health back into your hair. The healthier the hair the happier we will be with the results! One way you can start to help me before your appointment is to start by taking extra time on your hair when conditioning it. Bring a brush into the shower and brush the conditioner through your hair. Make sure it’s hitting every hair strand, it seems like a simple thing but we often rush this part in the shower.
