I’M BUILDING A TEAM. 🌿

I’m opening applications for a small number of people interested in becoming Connected Movement Therapists (CMT).

CMT brings together the work I’ve developed over 20 years, therapeutic movement, alignment, fascia, traction & decompression, nervous-system regulation, somatic work, breathwork, assessment and whole-person care.

This is a 24-month hands-on apprenticeship and mentorship, not a weekend certification.

You’ll learn directly alongside me through education, observation, hands-on training and real client experience.

And you won’t have to wait two years to begin your career.

Once you’ve demonstrated the appropriate knowledge, skills and professional readiness, you may begin working with selected clients as early as approximately six months into the program, while continuing your mentorship and training.

WHO CAN APPLY?
You must have:
• 200+ hour Yoga Teacher Training
OR
• A recognized health, movement or wellness professional background.

But I’m looking for more than credentials.

I’m looking for compassionate, curious people who want to understand how the body, fascia, movement, alignment, nervous system and lived experiences connect, and who want to build a meaningful career helping others.

Most importantly, I’m building a team.

My hope is to train a small group of skilled, like-minded therapists who will ultimately work alongside me as part of the Connected Movement Therapy team, allowing us to help far more people than I could ever reach on my own.

I’m not looking to train hundreds of people. I’m looking for the right people.

Interested?

Send me a private message with your background, current training and why you’re interested in becoming a Connected Movement Therapist.

I’ve been doing therapeutic work for 20 years, and I’m still expanding what I can offer my clients. 🤍

My work isn’t one-size-fits-all. I specialize in Critical Alignment Therapy (CAT), Connected Movement Therapy (CMT), EFT, pelvic floor therapy, foot therapy, spinal conditions, alignment, traction, decompression, fascia and nervous-system-based work — looking at the whole body and how everything connects.

And now, I’m completing my Advanced Registered Massage Therapy program, adding even more hands-on clinical knowledge to the work I already do.

✨ In approximately 16 months, my treatments will also be eligible for coverage through many extended health insurance plans.

But you don’t have to wait 16 months to work with me.

I offer tiered/sliding-scale pricing because I want therapy to be accessible to different budgets.

I’ve also been building a team at Inner Peace Yoga, Therapy & Wellness, so you have more options for care. You can book directly with me or with Elisa, my apprentice, who is also accepting clients and doing a great job!

If you’ve been living with pain, stiffness, recurring injuries, postural issues, pelvic floor concerns, or a body that simply doesn’t feel like it’s moving the way it should, now is a great time to come see us.

20 years of experience. A growing team. An ever-growing toolbox. And treatment built around YOUR body.

🐢 Now accepting new therapy clients. Message me to book with Joelle or Elisa.

🦴 Living with osteopenia, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or ongoing joint and skeletal pain?💛

These conditions can change the way you move, stand, walk and even breathe, and over time, the body often begins compensating around painful or restricted areas.

This is an area I work with regularly through Connected Movement Therapy and Critical Alignment Therapy.

Using gentle, individualized techniques such as:
• decompression & traction
• postural alignment
• fascial release
• therapeutic movement
• nervous system regulation
• mobility & stability work
• breathwork

we work with the whole body, not just the area that hurts.

I’ve had many clients come through my doors after being encouraged by their doctor or healthcare provider to explore this type of therapeutic work alongside their medical care.

If osteoporosis, osteopenia, arthritis or another joint/skeletal condition has left you feeling stiff, guarded, compressed or afraid to move, there are gentle ways to help your body move with more confidence and support.

Your rib cage isn’t supposed to be rigid.

With every breath, your ribs should expand and move in multiple directions. But stress, posture, shallow breathing, old injuries, tension through the diaphragm, and repetitive movement patterns can all change the way the rib cage moves.

When the ribs aren’t moving well, your body may start compensating elsewhere.

You might notice:
• neck and shoulder tension
• discomfort between the shoulder blades
• tightness through the mid-back
• difficulty taking a full, comfortable breath
• low-back tension
• a feeling that you’re constantly “holding” your body

This is why I don’t always work directly where you feel the pain.

In a therapy session, we look at how your breath, ribs, spine, fascia, alignment and nervous system are working together, and where your body may be compensating.

Sometimes creating more space and movement through the rib cage changes how the entire body feels.

✨ Private 90-minute therapy sessions available with myself or Elisa.
✨ Sliding Scale Payment Options.

Boundaries are more than saying “no.”

We often think of boundaries as one thing: deciding what we will or won’t tolerate.

But boundaries show up in so many different ways, and sometimes the boundary we’re missing is the exact reason we feel exhausted, resentful, overwhelmed or emotionally drained.

Time boundaries protect when you are available, and when you need rest.

Conversation boundaries allow you to decide what you are willing to discuss, explain or revisit.

Emotional boundaries remind you that you can deeply care about someone without becoming responsible for their emotions.

Energy boundaries protect how much of yourself you give. Supporting someone doesn’t mean carrying everything for them.

Privacy boundaries give you the right to decide what parts of your life, experiences and relationships belong to you, and what you choose to share.

Repair boundaries define what you need after hurt or conflict. Forgiveness, reconnection and moving forward don’t have to happen without accountability, communication or change.

And here’s something I think we forget:

A boundary isn’t about controlling another person.
It’s about deciding what you will do to care for yourself.

Sometimes the body notices a crossed boundary before the mind does, tension, exhaustion, irritability, anxiety, shutting down, holding your breath, feeling constantly “on.”

Learning to recognize those signals is part of learning to listen to yourself again. ❤️

💛Your fascia affects more than just how flexible you feel.💛

Fascia is the connective tissue network that surrounds and connects your muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels and organs, and when movement through that tissue becomes restricted, you may notice it in ways you wouldn’t immediately connect to fascia.

Tightness. Heaviness. Puffiness. Achy muscles. Reduced mobility. That feeling that you stretch and stretch, but the same areas just keep tightening back up.

And this is where movement matters.

Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a central pump like your heart. It relies partly on muscle contraction, breathing and body movement to help move lymph through the body.

That’s one of the reasons I don’t just look at where it hurts.

In my sessions, we look at how the whole body is working together, fascia, alignment, breathing, muscle tension, movement patterns, the nervous system and even areas far away from where you’re actually feeling the symptoms.

Sometimes the place that hurts is only one piece of the puzzle.

Through Connected Movement Therapy, we work to create more space, mobility and ease throughout the body rather than simply chasing the painful spot.

If you’re constantly feeling stiff, tight, achy or like your body just doesn’t move the way it used to, there may be more going on than “tight muscles.”

❓Have you tried massage, physiotherapy, stretching, chiropractic care… and still feel like you’re hitting a wall? 💜

Maybe you get temporary relief, but the pain keeps coming back.

Maybe you’ve been told to strengthen something, stretch something, or release something, but you still don’t feel like anyone is looking at the whole picture.

That’s where my private therapy sessions can be different.

I don’t just focus on the spot that hurts.

I look at how your alignment, movement patterns, fascia, muscles, breath, nervous system and the way you hold tension may all be contributing to what you’re experiencing.

My approach brings together everything I’ve spent years studying, Yoga Therapy, Critical Alignment Therapy, myofascial work, traction, breathwork, nervous system regulation, somatic therapy, pelvic floor work, EFT and more.

Sometimes your body doesn’t need more of the same thing.

Sometimes it needs someone to step back, look at the bigger picture, and ask:

“Why does this keep happening?”

Your first session is a full assessment so we can figure out what your body actually needs.

And you don’t have to know the answer before you walk through my door. ❤️

If you’ve been feeling stuck, I’d love to work with you.

📩 Message me to book a private session with me or Elisa.

No judgment. No pressure. Just a safe space to start understanding your body differently.

💛🦵 Knee pain? Don’t forget about your quads.💛

Your quadriceps are a group of four powerful muscles at the front of your thigh, and they have a major relationship with how your knee moves, loads and stabilizes.

The quads help straighten the knee, control bending, absorb force and guide the kneecap as you walk, climb stairs, squat, stand up and move through everyday life.

When the quads become tight, overworked, weak or poorly coordinated, they can change how forces are distributed through the knee. Sometimes the place you feel the pain isn’t the only place that needs attention.

That’s why, when I work with knee discomfort, I don’t just look at the knee.

I may assess and work with:
• Quadriceps and surrounding fascia
• Hip and pelvic mechanics
• Hamstrings and calves
• Feet and ankles
• Patellar movement and tracking
• Strength and movement patterns
• Alignment and compensation through the whole body

The knee is part of a chain. Sometimes helping the knee means looking above it, below it, and at everything influencing it.

At Inner Peace Yoga, Therapy & Wellness, therapy is never one-size-fits-all. We look at the whole person and work toward creating more space, balance, strength and ease in the body.

✨ Book a therapy session with myself or my apprentice Elisa, we would love to help you figure it out and get feeling better! 💜

Therapy isn’t just for athletes.
It isn’t just for people who are flexible, fit, injured, young, old, or in pain.

It’s for every body. And every body has a story.

At Inner Peace Yoga, Therapy & Wellness, I’ve worked hard to create a space where you can simply come as you are.

No judgment. No expectations. No need to fit into a certain box.

My space is inclusive and welcoming to men, women, and people of all genders, all ages, sizes, abilities, identities, backgrounds, and walks of life. From young to old and everywhere in between.

You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to be “in shape.”
You don’t need to apologize for your body.
And you never need to feel embarrassed about where you are starting.

I meet you where you are.

My therapy sessions are individualized and may incorporate:

• Critical Alignment Therapy
• Connected Movement Therapy
• Myofascial release
• Traction & decompression
• Postural assessment & re-patterning
• Ball & strap therapy
• Lymphatic flow techniques
• Pelvic floor therapy
• Breathwork
• Somatic release
• Nervous system regulation
• EFT / emotional release work
• Therapeutic movement & alignment
• Hands-on therapeutic techniques
• And now, my continued training in Massage Therapy

Sometimes we work with pain. Sometimes mobility. Sometimes posture, fascia, tension or old movement patterns. And sometimes what a person needs most is to feel safe enough to slow down, breathe, reconnect with their body and be heard.

There is no “right” kind of person for therapy.

My treatment space is private, inclusive, confidential and judgment-free. I hold space for the whole person, not just the symptom that brought you through my door.

You are welcome here exactly as you are. 🤍
