I will be taking new clients starting July 2022, currently I had to start my maternity leave early since working was impacting my pregnancy and now I’m on semi bedrest ☹️ it’s so hard for me since I love what I do and I wish I could do it for as long as I did when I was pregnant with Idrees 😔
To all the hairstylist that are pregnant I highly suggest you mentally prepare that you might be asked to reduce your hours and even at one point stop earlier than anticipated. Our job is very hard on our bodies and gravity does it’s thing when we’re standing causing baby to add more pressure on your uterus. We’re walking, moving around and bending over in weird positions during the work day which is great for an active pregnancy but sometimes it can be a little too active and induce labor. Just be careful and take care of yourself and baby, clients you’d want to keep will understand and those that don’t we’ll you don’t need them 🤷🏽♀️. I recommended my clients a few stylists that are close to them and that I’ve seen or been around their work, support other stylists while you’re away everyone’s gotta eat 💕

Always cater your hair products to what you’re trying to alter or fix! It’s so important to make sure you’re on top of your products since they contribute to the health of your hair. Diet & hair habits are the other two that contribute to how your hair needs to be managed. For example day to day habits such as: putting your hair up when it’s wet causes breakage! Fix: dry it before putting it up, don’t have time? Put a treatment in, braid it and tie it with a scrunchie 😊

No bleach balayage!!!!!! 🤯 my client was sooo patient she deserves an award. She had henna in her hair and knew that to do any sort of lightening technique she’d need to cut ✂️ inches off her hair. She did so last year and then came in for a strand test to make sure the hair that has grown out is virgin and can be coloured ✔️ what we did was I got her on a cleansing AND hydration routine so that her hair will be clean and accept colour or bleach easily even if there was some lingering henna. Thank fully there was none 🚫 so we didn’t have to bleach her hair since she wanted to keep it more natural the first time around. What to take from this? Be patient if you have box dye or henna & do a strand test … JUST DO IT ✔️ it’ll give you piece of mind! Trust meee you’ll know how light you can get or if you want to know how much damage there will be, BLEACH DOESN’T LIE

Shiny dark hair is also a vibe!! This is usually achievable with just a toner! What’s a toner? A toner is used to either enhance your colour, or remove unwanted pigments along with adding shine! Toners or a gloss coats the hair cuticle with conditioning agents and pigment resulting in shinier hair. My client here had done the hairbotox for a deep moisture since she noticed her ends breaking due to over processing and wanted some jujj. The hairbotox was done a week prior to the toner so that it wouldn’t be removed during the process.
PSA🚨 Toners are temporary so they don’t last longer than 6-8 weeks.
