Hello I am back from taking a month off to figure our my next move. I am still in the Bulkley Valley for about another momth or so.
My shop is closed after the town of smithers denied my renewal of my business licence because there has been no health inspectors to open my new shop. Says alot about the safety of the public if there are no inspectors in the area for 4plus months.
In conjunction with some shady people and the small town gossip mill I was forced to close my new shop befor I could even get it open. Wasting alot if my time and alot if money.
Apologies to my clients. I will be avail to assist you but from a different location outside if the town limits. Msg me to set up an apt befor I move to somewhere I can work and support my familly.
It was a great 4 years of working with you all. Best of luck on your future body modifications.
As for my massage clients I can come to you for treatments for now.
In the future pls make sure you get massaged and pierced from practitioners with actual certifications and insurance for what that practice. Lots of hacks out there with zero education that offer " relaxation massage servises"

Almost had a very beautiful studio for you guys to enjoy. You can thank the town of smithers for there lack of supporting businesses stay re open. And allowing other businesses to operate without valid inspections and zero education.

Thank you to all the amazing comments sent by all you amazing clients. I will be back eventually not in Smithers but I have a few other idea up my sleeve. For the time being I have created a little space at home to work from. Same high standards as I have always had for the last 23 years. I live in quick so it's a little journey but possibly looking for a space to guest spot 1 to 2 x a month from in Smithers if anyone has any ideas or spaces they woukd want to rent out even 1day a week would be perfect as I have alot of clients that well you said it only trust me to do your piercings and offer continued support through your whole healing process. I am still massaging just from home or at your home as well as I can be mobile. With zero over head.

I am contemplating the idea of going back to university to finish my degree but that will be a few months away. I will be around for the summer. And no I will absolutly not ever again open a shop in Smithers after this awful experience I just had this town is certinally. Not where I want to make a business to grow from.
This whole thing was so unbelievably unfair I got denied my business licence while others were still allowed and not even confronted about there malpractice and inspection limitations. Hell some are even practicing things they have zero education or certification performing on the public and I got shut out.
Something tells me there was a little more to this whole thing then just insurance and health inspections concidering some places don't have any insurance and have not had any the entire time they were open while they piggybacked off mine. Karma and well my work speaks for its self and my countless sacrificed hrs of education, practice and time invested into doing something I am passionate about for 23 years and 13 years massaging some pretty elite clients. Smithers you lost a really good practitioner and piercer.
Apologies for the most likely longer wait line at the hospitals from poorly done piercings and well no professional piercers in this town. It took me a year to clean up the messes out there. But mostly I am sad to see parents resort to please take your kids to anywhere but a gin piercing place because it's traumatic and gross.

I am still around just because I don't have a shop doesn't mean I am not going to stop doing what i love. I live outside of the town limits so come say some words on the other side of the tracks!!
Thank you again your posts have all made this a little less depressing to take in. But just means it was not the right space or place for me to be and as I saw an army of any invading that old shop I kinda had a hunch something bigger was on it way. The old witch in me still believes in these kinda things but I still believe in magic too and who knows maybe something bigger is around the corner.

So much as talking about needles with clients can be a little 'off putting' we know: YOU know a good needle tip when you see one.

With great sadness I will be closing my not even opened yet beautiful studio. Because the town of smithers denied me a business licence because Northern health has no health inspectors avail to even call me qbck in 4 months. After all my efforts I finally got an inspection booked on the 3rd of June and 1 hr later ubwas told they denied my application because I couldn't get a health inspection . 1 hr after that I was issued an eviction notice because eu can't get insurance because I couldn't get a business licence because I couldn't get a health inspection. After all attempts made I got a "no" back in an email from the town of smithers and that was all the communication made to me
So i will be packing up my studiobthisbweekend liquidating everything and I will take my business somewhere else.
This town certinally doesn't support small businesses and has made made it the worst experience I have ever had in opening a shop anywhere I have operated in the last 20 years.

Thank you to all my amazing clients sadly Smithers will no longer have a safe piercing studio. Goodbye i am done with this place.

Sorry to my client and a huge ****** you to the town of smithers and Northern health for wasting my time and money trying to open a safe space for body modification as well as offer my massage services here.
Meanwhile other businesses have been operating illegally without health inspections offering services they are not approved to do for the last 6 months and they have no penalties or are forced to close business meaning sholas shop upstairs she's only approved to do sugaring that's it thats all because that's all she has training to do. But sure after my extensive education and experience in both my industries I have been forced to close my doors.

Well i will be inbthe shop for the last time this weekend selling off anything I don't want to pack up and leave with.

To all my valued clients my apologies on the late opening of the studio. Apparently Smithers has no health inspectors till the 10th so hopefully this week we can finally open the doors to something magical.
